Phu Yen Holiday at a Perfect Wild Beach and Authentic Local Culture!
Day 1 : Extinct volcano cycling and Cu Lao Mai Nha Island
Bicycle tour to discover the fishing villages of Phuoc Dong and Xom Cat. Start in Volcano Beach Village (Phước Đồng, Tuy An), following a small coastal path all the way to Sandy Village (Thôn Xóm Cát).
Park your bike for a short walk up a hill topped by an extinct volcano — well known by locals for its feng shui properties. Astonishing views over the ocean, Cu Lao Mai Nha Island, Hon Yen islet, basalt columns, and nearby villages. Take your time at the top to enjoy the scenery.
Get back on your bike and cycle through Sandy Village, passing local agriculture fields, houses, and a school. Stop on a virgin beach for an introduction to local fishing techniques. Continue to visit the Whale Temple, dedicated to Ong Nam Hai, god of the seas — also known as Cha Aih Va in Cham culture.
Fresh, homemade seafood lunch in a local family’s house or on the beach.
In the afternoon, boat ride to Cu Lao Mai Nha Island, known for its pristine beach and marine scenery.
Walk the island and see wild pandanus and Indian almond trees — iconic plants of Pacific coastlines. Continue across small cliffs and strange rock formations, with the never-ending ocean as your horizon — a natural setting from another world.
Free time for swimming and enjoying the island.
Get back to shore and accomodation in a beach side hotel.
Day 2 : Antique Hill archaeological site
Head toward Antique Hill in Phu Hanh village, on the same peninsula. This hill, considered an archaeological site, has been populated consecutively throughout history by Vietnamese, Cham, and proto-Indochinese peoples, thanks to its rich groundwater — ideal for agriculture.
Start walking up a stone path leading to the top of the hill, passing agricultural plots surrounded by ancient stone walls and Streblus asper trees (a medicinal plant) planted by the Cham over 500 years ago.
Along the path, hear stories of the past and see ancient remnants — stone houses, tombs, and wells — with stunning views over Xuan Dai Bay as a backdrop.
Enjoy a drink before heading back to Virgin Beach Village.

Start the day at dawn (around 4:30–5:00 AM) with a visit to the local fish market right on the beach! Both chaotic and majestic, this daily market still operates the same way it did a century ago — an authentic spectacle, crowned by the sun rising from the ocean behind the Cu Lao Mai Nha islet.
